Day 20 and 21 of the trip of a lifetime

Well, yesterday morning at 4 am Julia decided it was time to come out and show herself to the world. I began to have these amazing and of course painful contractions at that point, and by 7:30 had an epidural given to me. By 11 o'clock we were ready to get the party started, and once my water broke she was out like a rocket.

Julia Theresa Pontow
Born 11:57 am 7/17/08
Weight: 2.2 lbs and length: 13 inches

She is amazing, doing most of the work on her own already and stirring up the NICU already with her cuteness. She will be here for a least 10 weeks so she can fully develop, and I am suggested to leave by Sunday. Thank you everyone who visited and prayed for our family these past 3 weeks, and we will continue to give updates. Of course now the priority is making sure she stays healthy and getting her home. Speaking of home - now I have to get that nursery together.

Love, The Pontows
